Just got back from vacation in San Diego. Happened to be there while SDSU was in the final four and finals so that was something. The finale wasn't very close but the crowd at the bar tried their best to stay supportive. Did the usual touristy things: science museum at Balboa Park, saw the seals, went to a Padres game, Midway, and of course the zoo. As for the puzzle, I think this theme works pretty well. I made sure the themers were the longest answers although having 7-letter across answers that aren't part of the theme looks odd at first glance. I think the central answer is my favorite theme answer. Just a nice, in the language phrase.
