Celebrating 100 Puzzles

100 puzzles! Like most people I just love my round numbers so this puzzle is much more important than puzzle 99 or 101. I know it doesn't seem like this is puzzle 100 since I'm on themed #88 and themeless #20, but for some reason I'm missing Themed #'s 39, 40, 43, 45, 46, and 47, as well as themeless #11. I have no idea how that happened but I'm not going back to fix it. I've said it before but I have to thank the NYT for all of their rejections. I wanted to post those puzzles somewhere instead of "wasting" them so that was the impetus for this site. For anyone who is interested I'm at 41 rejections and counting. 3 more puzzles are in the queue waiting to be culled along with all the other submissions that didn't tickle anyone's fancy.

The theme reminds me of a NYT puzzle from a little while back that used 2020 for all the theme clues and then the answers related to those numbers. Here it is if you want to see it: https://www.xwordinfo.com/Crossword?date=7/21/2020&g=65&d=A. I'm not sure which phrase came first but I know that the clue for 40-across is criminally underrated.

Anyway, hopefully people are enjoying the puzzles. That's really the whole point of this - to have fun and think a bit. Sometimes I can be a bit sarcastic in cluing or my liberal leanings, Taylor Swift fanaticism, sports watching, or 90's movies/TV references shine through a bit too much. But hey, I like what I like. If anyone has any helpful suggestions for improvements feel free to reach out. I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.
